3 Day Moroccan Tour from Fes to Merzouga and back
Itinerary Program
Day 1: Fes - Ifrane - Cedar Forest - Middle atlas - Zizi Valley – Merzouga
Today your driver from Admirable Morocco Tours will pick you up from your hotel/riad in Fes after having your breakfast then we will head towards to Merzouga desert via the Middle Atlas mountains such an alluring view of nature. We’ll stop at the city of Ifrane popularly known as “Morocco’s Little Switzerland”. We will drive through Azrou where we’ll stop to see the Barbary monkeys, we cross the middle atlas and arrival at Midelt where we’ll have lunch, then we’ll continue our trip towards Ziz valley and Erfoud and finally we’ll reach Merzouga desert, dinner and overnight stay at a hotel near the beautiful Erg Chebbi dunes.
Day 2: 4x4 excursion to explore Merzouga desert – Camel Trek and overnight at Camp
Today in the morning we continue our private Morocco tour and we explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We will visit a Berber nomad family, and listen to Gnawa music in the village of Khamlia. Then we will visit some deserted mines and an oasis of palm trees. after lunch, we will head back to Merzouga and then we ride camels to the desert. We will spend the night in a desert camp with drums music in the Sahara. After climbing the high dune to watch the sunset over Erg Chebbi dunes, try the sandboarding if that’s an activity you are interested in, enjoy the views…overnight stay at nomadic tented camp.
Day 3 : Merzouga desert – back to Fes
Wake up to watch the sunrise on top of a dune near the camp, have breakfast and take shower then back to the original started location either by camels or 4WD where you’ll meet your driver and start your journey back again to Fes with stops on the way for panoramic views, lunch…In the afternoon we’ll arrive in Fes, we’ll drop you off at your hotel and your 3-day desert tour with Admirable Morocco Tours ends.
