3 Day Desert Tour From Marrakech to Merzouga
Itinerary Program
Day 1: Marrakech - Ait Ben Haddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges
The first day of your 3-day desert tour with Admirable Morocco Tours will start with pick up from your hotel in Marrakech and drive through the Atlas Mountains we’ll make stops along the way to take the pictures and get closer to the beautiful landscapes and authentic Berber villages. We’ll continue to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou a 16th-century fortress classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site and many famous films were recorded there such as (Gladiator, Laurence of Arabia, the kingdom of heaven …) . Then we’ll drive to Ouarzazate where we’ll stop at film studios and Kasbah Taourirt then we will go to Dades Valley and the Valley of Roses through the fascinating palm grove of Skoura, where numerous ancient kasbahs stand out among the palm trees. Dinner and overnight at hotel/riad in Dades Valley.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Camel trek and a night at Merzouga desert camp
After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll drive towards Tinghir and Todra Gorge where we will have time to walk inside the gorge. We will pass by Tinjdad, Touroug where we’ll stop for lunch and the city of Erfoud to reach Merzouga “Erg Chebbi desert”. After a cup of mint tea, we will ride a camel for 1 hour to enjoy the breathtaking view of the sunset over the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. After a delicious dinner, you will have the chance to attend a traditional Berber music show while watching the stars. We will spend the night in a nomadic Berber tent.
Day 3 : Merzouga - Alnif - Draa Valley - Agdez - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Today we recommend you to get up to admire the lovely view of the sunrise and after that, you’ll have breakfast at the camp, take shower then we will start our way back to Marrakech we will go through the Berber villages of Alnif and N’Kob and through the Draa Valley to Agdez, where we will have lunch. Then we will return to Marrakech through the High Atlas mountains. We will arrive in Marrakech in the late afternoon transfer to your hotel/riad and our services ends.
