Day 1: Fes - Volubilis and Meknes
After a healthy breakfast, you will be picked up by your driver from Admirable Morocco tours from your hotel/riad, we will drive you to Volubilis roman site. Spend time exploring this ancient Roman town of Volubilis. You will be captivated by its well-preserved mosaics, palaces, baths, and soaring arches. Afterward, we drive to Moulay Idriss. The town is one of the country’s most important spiritual sites and a place of pilgrimage as it is the site of the tomb of Moulay Idriss, a prominent Moroccan saint in the late 8th century and a great-grandson of the prophet Mohammed.
After that, we will continue to Meknes where we will have free time to have munch at a local restaurant. Meknes is one of the Imperial cities and once the Capital of Morocco under the rule of Moulay Ismail. Meknes is a home of many Palaces & Mosques, Beautiful gates such as (Bab Mansour). The old city of Meknes is surrounded by thick ramparts. In the afternoon we will travel back to Fes, drop you off at your hotel/riad, and end our amazing day trip.
